my web philosophy...

...is quite simple: I like websites that load quickly, are easy to use and provide information in an organized, well-thought way while being enjoyable to look at.

Sounds easy, but surfing the web sometimes leads me to think that other designers obviously are pursuing different goals...

websites that load quickly...

I am relying on correct HTML (hypertext markup language - the language web pages are written in) and CSS (cascading style sheets - a technology that puts all information regarding the "look" of a website in one single document which in return allows website style changes in the blink of an eye).

If you already have a website and want to check if it's markup is well formed, you can do so at → http://validator.w3.org.

Web 2.0 (social media) is another topic related to good organization and good linking of a web site. I have worked extensively with Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc. and can advise you what you need - and how to use it efficiently for your purposes. In my references you will find several customers using Web 2.0 services already.

However, besides good looks I also consider usability and accessibility important issues for successful web sites: Usability refers to the quality of a user's experience when visiting a web site, it measures how quickly and easily s/he can accomplish his/her tasks and how satisfied s/he is during the process. In addition, accessibility describes a quality in web site design that allows everyone, including users who have difficulty seeing, hearing, and making precise movements, to use them.

In short: I like websites that load quickly, are easy to use and provide information in a organized, well-thought way while being enjoyable to look at...
